Nestor Demeure - Lecture - 10:00 - 10:30
Following some discussions with chamber members, I am planning a free Introduction to Billet work Workshop the January 30th (a Sunday) during Onvocational hours (Commencing at 22:00 UTC time - 14:00 Pacific - 08:00 Brisbane - 09:00 Sydney - 15:00 Mountain - 16:00 Central - 17:00 Eastern - 23:00 Paris & Turin - 22:00 UK). The workshop is expected to last a small hour.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to switch billets (tears and peeks will not be covered) and do the following three routines:
-
Billet chi (predict anything)
-
Baker's fortune² (intimate mind reading, adapted from a Rudy Hunter routine)
-
Desire for the Dead (a mix of psychometry and mind reading, adapted from a Max Maven routine)
They are all strong routines but use very few, well covered, switches: perfect to get started with billet work
To attend you will need:
-
a pen,
-
one envelope (any opaque kind is good, I will use a small A6 one but a big letter one is fine),
-
about 20 pieces of paper cut to roughly business card size (folded twice they should fit, hidden, in fingerpalm), opaque (not possible to see that something is or isn't written on it) and (ideally but not mandatory) bristol/business card stock (thicker than printer paper).

Scott Davis - Lecture on Seance Magazine - 4pm - 5:00pm Scott Davis founded Séance Magazine, the international quarterly magazine devoted to spirit magic, in 1988. The publication ran for three years and was later reprinted as a limited-edition hardcover book that is now a highly prized collector’s item. As the editor of the Psychic Entertainers Association newsletter and founder of Séance, he had access to many of the most influential performers of the time, including Tony Andruzzi, E. Raymond Carlyle, Max Maven, Eugene Burger, and many more. Now for the first time, Scott reveals his most memorable moments with these imaginative and creative souls. After his lecture, you will be treated to the long-awaited reunion of Scott, Lary Kuehn, and Terry Tyson to discuss the development of Séance Magazine.
Terry, Lary, Scott - Seance Magazine Round Table (first time in 30 years) - 5pm - 6pm
Lary Kuehn - Lary Kuehn first encountered magic at Douglas Magicland in the late 1940s. Constant travel soon had him meeting people from throughout the magic community, including Tony Andruzzi. A couple of very familiar names, Scott Davis and Terry Tyson popped up in the early 1980s, and soon the group decided to work together on Séance Magazine. For the first time in several years, the trio will be teaming up for a reunion, including a Q&A session about this legendary publication.
Terry Tyson - Terry Tyson is an award-winning Public Speaker, Mentalist, “Séance Master,” Magickal Raconteur, Creator, and Writer, and has been delving into the mystery arts for almost 50 years. He will present Theo Annemann’s “Pseudo Psychometry”; one of the most powerful routines a mentalist can present. Those who know of it will say that assessment is truly on point. However, as it was originally written, the routine has no dramatic structure or satisfactory conclusion to the proceedings. Tyson will share with you a format that he has used extensively with audiences across the globe. He will share ways to enhance other effects using the core techniques and how to do it ungimmicked.
